When God Draws Near: Transforming Encounters

God encounters His people in powerful, personal ways, through dreams, visions, His manifest presence, and His still small voice, inviting you into relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You've Met the Living God

Something happened to you. Maybe He came to you in a dream. Maybe you felt His presence so powerfully you couldn't deny it. Maybe you heard His voice speaking to your heart. However it happened, you encountered the living God.

But you might be wondering: who exactly did I meet?

The Bible reveals that there is one God who exists eternally as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. This is what Christians call the Trinity. It's not three gods, but one God in three persons. Each person is fully God, yet they are distinct from one another.

This might sound confusing at first, but here's what matters: when you encounter the Father, you are encountering God. When you encounter Jesus, you are encountering God. When you encounter the Holy Spirit, you are encountering God. They work together in perfect unity and love.

One God, Three Beautiful Encounters

The Father is the one who loves you, calls you His child, and speaks purpose over your life.

The Son, Jesus Christ, is the one who died for you, rose again, and still appears to people today in dreams and visions.

The Holy Spirit is the one who lives inside you, transforms you, and empowers you to live this new life.

You don't need to fully understand the Trinity to experience God's love. You simply need to open your heart to Him.

Which Encounter Resonates with You?

Think about your experience. What did you sense? What did you feel? Your encounter might help you understand which person of the Trinity was drawing near to you.

Did you sense a Father's love calling you home?

Perhaps you felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, like you were finally coming home after being lost. You sensed unconditional love, acceptance, protection. You heard a voice that felt paternal, strong yet tender, calling you by name. You knew, somehow, that you were deeply wanted.

If this resonates with you, you may have encountered God the Father.

Did you meet Jesus face to face in a dream?

Maybe Jesus appeared to you while you slept. You saw Him clearly, heard Him speak your name, felt His presence. Or perhaps you had a vision of Him during the day, so real you couldn't deny it. You might have seen the cross, witnessed His sacrifice, or simply felt Him standing beside you.

If this resonates with you, you may have encountered God the Son.

Did you feel the Spirit's presence moving powerfully?

Perhaps you experienced something you couldn't explain: a supernatural peace that settled over you, a power that moved through you, a conviction about truth you couldn't shake, or a transformation happening inside you that you didn't create yourself. You might have felt fire, wind, or simply known that something divine was at work within you.

If this resonates with you, you may have encountered the Holy Spirit.

Not Sure Which One?

That's completely normal. Sometimes God reveals Himself gradually. You might have encountered all three persons of the Trinity without realising it. As you explore each page, you'll gain clarity about your experience and deepen your understanding of the God who found you.

The God Who Pursues You

What's remarkable is this: you didn't find God. He found you. He pursued you. He revealed Himself to you because He wants relationship with you. These encounters with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are not fleeting moments that disappear when life gets hard. They are the beginning of a relationship that cannot be broken.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:38-39

Nothing can separate you from His love. You are held, you are known, and you are His.
